Data and Analytics Notice
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This notice summarizes how ShiftPay uses product analytics and crash diagnostics. It is intended to be read together with the Privacy Policy.
Why analytics is used
ShiftPay uses analytics to understand whether core flows are working: onboarding, calendar navigation, shift creation, templates, reports, settings, exports, backups and reminders. This helps prioritize improvements after release and diagnose where users may stop using the app.
What is measured
- Screen views and bottom navigation selections.
- Calendar actions such as selecting a day, changing month, using today, and editing shifts.
- Template actions such as create, update, duplicate, archive and restore.
- Report period changes and report navigation.
- Settings categories such as theme, language, currency category, pay period and reminders.
- Export, backup and restore success or failure, using size or count buckets where useful.
- Feedback form submissions as success or failure events, with message length buckets and feedback type.
- Notification permission request and result.
What is not intentionally measured
- No hourly rate or pay amount values.
- No exact shift dates.
- No shift notes, calendar names or template names.
- No backup or CSV file contents.
- No feedback message text in analytics events.
- No email address, phone number or direct contact identifier entered by the user.
Feedback storage
When you choose to submit feedback, the message text is stored in Firebase Firestore with app metadata such as version, language, theme mode, current section and platform. This feedback storage is separate from analytics events.
Crash diagnostics
Crashlytics is used to collect crash reports and diagnostic details needed to fix bugs. Crash reports may include technical information such as device model, app version, Android version, timestamps and stack traces.
Ads and selling data
ShiftPay may show ads through Google AdMob and uses Google's consent tools where required. ShiftPay does not sell personal data and does not use your shift calendar, hourly rate, pay estimates, notes or template names to build advertising profiles.
Your choices
You can stop using ShiftPay, clear app storage or uninstall the app at any time. You can also control notification permission in Android settings. For privacy questions, contact us at codelity@gmail.com.
